Imperfect Focus | 2022

Imperfect Focus is a rhythmic and ever-changing focus of light, in which thoughts and observations merge. The minimal movement in the foil makes it seem as if you are watching a cell division.

Imperfect Focus consists of an aluminum ring in which iridescent foil is placed. Three motor-controlled 'hands' gently press the foil. The three rhythms are not synchronous, which creates an ever-changing pattern.
